    Carving Live Trees

    I thought I'd post this here just for fun. In my other hobby, bonsai, I use a dremel and hand tools to carve deadwood, woodpecker holes, and hollows into trees. Below is a boxwood that I worked on today.

    Also, for carvers in the Seattle area, the city of Sammamish has chopped some cedars that they claim were diseased along the main road. The trunks were left in the hope that one day they can afford to pay carvers to come in and make them into artwork.
