A Request for You Segmented Turners

I am not a woodturner but I do admire the beautiful segmented bowls that you guys post here.
I was wondering if any of you guys have pictures showing the process of making a segmented bowl. I would love to see the process from cutting the pieces, glue-up, bowl turning, with a description of what's going on.
Do any of you guys have something like this that you can share with us. Thanks in advance if you have something.

Go to Utube and search "Segmented Turnings". Watch a few of those and I know you'll be buying your first lathe soon.

Von, If you want a good book on the subject get The Art of Segmented Wood Turning by Malcolm Tibbetts. He goes into great detail and uses lots of pictures.
If you order it from Malcolm it will be signed by him.

Here is a good tutorial, which covers more cutting/assembly and less on actual turning techniques. The site also contains a lot of segmented techniques and plans for jigs, not to mention great turnings.

2 books to check out. One is a tribute to Ray Allen and the other is by Malcolm Tibbetts. Both are what got me started. As far as looking but not touching goes, forget it. You are already too close to the edge. One small move and you are going in the drink.
