I don't get it. Did you make this out of wood?
OK, I don't usually look at the carvers forum. Now I get it.

Mike, check out Randall's web page and you will understand...this matchbook is carved out of wood and painted...pretty neat, huh?
Thanks.
Kevin
thanks kevin.....im up in the mountains in new mexico and out of internet range so my response is slow. anyone else thats confused can do a search on this site or google my name.
its exactly life size and carved from a single piece of pine. my friend here in new mexico suggested i write a woman's phone number on it.
i liked the matchbook so much i decided to use it again. i was asked to put a piece in a charity auction where each artist is given a cigar box to turn into "art". i guess i was the only one who didnt need a box to work with. no glue...one piece of wood.
I can't wait to see what you've come up with when I see your name starting a thread. Even when you "kinda fool around" it is really impressive. I'm thinking you need to come up with a restaurant or nightclub logo to put on that front cover, just to add a little spice. The name idea is fun but it would normally be on the inside and that part isn't showing on yours.
Wow! Very impressive!
thanks mark
brett...i did it with match boxes
it was a birthday present for a dear friend (female) that works at that bar...which another good friend owns. i've had more trouble with the carved money.
what do you think a cop would say if he saw this on the car seat?
