    Church preschool bench

Was asked by the head of our church preschool committee if I could build a bench for the preschool, to be used in the office for the children - possibly to lay on if a little one isn't feeling well. I found this almost immediately in a woodworking mag, made from a single sheet of plywood. The instructions called for birch, with unfinished edges, painted with very watered down dark mocha paint for a deep mahogony color with some grain showing thru. I opted for oak ply, with iron on edging, oil stain and three coats of clear gloss Deft finish.

On, and this only took two days. Finishing took half a day after.
