Another Acrylic Cutting Question from a newbie

    Hi Everyone,

I posted yesterday with a question about cutting Black 3/16" (5mm) Acrylic.

I am using a friends Camtech L20 Laser. She uses it primarily for engraving Stone. She has a compressor that supplies air to the nozzle. She uses this when engraving stone.

Should I use air when cutting acrylic?

Thanks again everyone, you guys are great!!

Short answer....YES! Acrylic can flare up. You will also get a cleaner cut.

You'll need to spend some time getting the pressure set correctly for the best edge, so be aware...
