    Ky CoffeeWood---Fern Stand

Well here she is DONE. This fern stand pedestal is made of Kentucky Coffee Wood. Top and bottom are cedar with a heavy band of walnut trim and inlay.
This is the sharpest fern stand I have ever built and I have built several.
SWMBO has spent alot of time getting this thing to shine --we lost count but are guessing about 20 coats of poly
Hope you have enjoyed watching this being built---it was a real job on my little lathe.

Dang Gary wish you would put in your title that sunglasses were need to view it. That shine your wife gave that fern stand is outstanding and you did a Excellent job creating it!!! I like the contrast of woods you used.
Once again Excellent Job to both You and your Wife,

I was referring to the post actually. I guess that would make it about 10 inches in diameter? Very nice. Unbeleivable patience with the finish for wifey.

    Gary -

Looks great. A long way from the original post that had us all worried about lathe abuse.

    Regards,
    Ted

Ted I am going to stop turning anything this big until I can figure out how to get a BIG lathe. SWMBO keeps trying to talk me into buying a Oneway but I need to save a few more green backs first.
