    If cheap is the driving goal, two options are better I suspect. One, find used and get a fence for less than the cost of materials to build one, or option two for ultimate cheapness, just clamp a wood fence (board) to the saw. I'd go with the finding used.

    If you are going to use extrusions for a fence a version of the Incra makes more sense to me.

    I've found Misumi to be a great source for T-slot stuff: https://us.misumi-ec.com/

    They'll cut it to length for you and everything. In my limited experience they're FAR cheaper than McMaster, especially for connecting elements ($1 each vs $6 each in lots of cases).

    The shipping cost always gets me when I try to order 80/20. I can never justify it for personal projects.
