Opening .svg files in Corel 13

This website http://www.thingiverse.com/ has some pretty cool things to make on a laser. Some of the coolest in my opinion are .svg files. I tried to open them in CorelDraw x3 and when I import them nothing shows up on my Corel Draw page. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for your help.

First, I'd suggest you use the EPS files if offered.

Download and save the file to your desktop or other location where you can find it. Open CD and import the file using the proper filter--EPS or SVG.

There is a program called Inkscape that is free open source (works for the most part) that will read in .svg and you can save to a ton of different formats.

    Thanks

I will try the suggested methods.
Did you go to the website and look at the stuff they had for download? There is sure some neat stuff there!
