    Creeker Visit-Holiday Version

I had the distinct pleasure today of having Karl Laustrop and his uncle Russ visit my home and shop. We had a nice chat and coffee and donuts. I even showed him my wife's pottery showoom which they enjoyed as well. If you have not had a chance to meet Karl, you are in for a treat if you do.

Karl and Russ it was a real pleasure to have you come for a visit. You are welcome back anytime.

In the photo, Russ is on the left, Karl in the middle, and me on the right.

Safe travels home Karl and Happy New Year !

    Congrats Don and Karl!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Karl and John Miliunas in Madison, WI last year. Karl is truly a great guy!

I haven't been disappointed with a Creeker meeting yet!

Thanks for the hospitality Don. My Uncle and I enjoyed our visit and tours of your wood shop and your wifes pottery. Thanks for the gifts to my uncle and I of maple bowls. They are really nice and will be displayed with pride.

This is a picture of Don's work bench which came from a local school, if memory serves me.

While impressed with your turning and woodworking skills, I was very taken with your wife's pottery. Here are a few examples.

Here's an example of some of Don's work to go with his wife's. The blue bowl in the picture was my favorite, however it's not for sale. Seems it's one of Don's wifes' favorites also.

Just a few more of the hundreds of bowls, plates, vases etc. that are displayed. If you find yourself in the Tri city area [ Albany, Troy, Schnectady] a visit with Don and his wife should be on your agenda.

Thanks again Don for your hospitality.
