    New To Me Drill Press

I've been watching CL for a while when This DP popped up for $150.

The rack needs straightening but otherwise it's in pretty good shape. Any ideas on the best way to do this?

Anyway Santa came a few days early for me.

Looks like it wasn't,er....Rigid enough. I'm sure it isn't hardened. Just take it loose and bend it back straight with a wood jawed vise holding it.

That's what happens when the incredible hulk forgets to unlock the table before cranking away.

We had a guy at work do that to a drill press...........Rod.

Nice grab. Now if I could find a deal like that so I could sell my Craftsman! (Nothing wrong with my DP, just hate Craftsman on principal.)
    I drink, therefore I am.

Smile New to me Drill Press

    Mark,
Mine looked exactly like yours when I bought it at Home Depot a couple of years ago. Got the salesman to discount it because it was bent (I figured I could straighten it). I just loosened the collar, slipped out the rack and bent it straight with my hands. It's real soft, so it was no problem.
I use my DP more than I ever thought I would. Hope you enjoy yours.
    Merry Christmas!

Thanks to all for your replies. I just want to be careful with the rack becaues it looks like it would be easy to snap it.
