    8 hour chair

I had to make a chair to replace one that flew out of a truck into the path of a semi. Nothing left of the original chair, but another one in the set was used to measure from. I've built a few chairs and repaired many, so I thought I could make this one in 8 hours, and succeeded. (Not including glue drying time). I don't think I'd do it again unless it was a better chair. He wanted it fast and cheap. (What was I thinking?)

Paul, that is lightning speed!!! I honestly don't know how you pulled that one off - and, some great work there. I had to go back and look at the wood grain of the parts to tell which one you made. I picked the one on the right?!?

That is really impressive - I have been working on a prototype for 8 chairs for a dining room set I am building and have been at that for awhile.

If I may ask - what tools did you use to figure out the angles and such?

Nope, that's easily an 8 day chair for me. When I built my 'workbench in a weekend' it took me two weeks. By the way which is the orginal and which is the one you made?

Nice work. 8 hours to complete any kind of chair is impressive.

Nice job Paul that definitley required some concentration and effort to get done in 8 hours. But... next time I suggest you just purchase some cheap tie down straps for your pick-up as it will take much less time.

    Great job...

Not my chair, not my pickup, not my semi. Just a frantic customer. He was delivering the set in a hurry. Haste makes waste. My wife says " If you can make one chair in a day ------". Uh Oh!

    Ok I'm way to jealous,

Great job at that speed or any speed.

I couldn't make a chair look that good if I took 8 days
