    Ipod Engraving (metal part)

What to do if you need to show a customer a sample of engraving in an expensive Ipod?

Engrave your own (done with a Epilog fibermark 20W)

Customer loved it and i have to engrave 200 for christmas....

I'd say congratulations on getting the job, but it looks like you won the lottery already.... nice line up of toys, Lenin!

Really, the Fibermark does a great job with no trouble, it looks great! Someday I'd like to get one, but wouldn't we all?

    cheers, dee

Hmmm, considering it was done with a laser, I'd call this one a real case of "Ride the Lightning"

I was going to say it's hypocritical to bash the company of the product that is being lovingly embellished. On a Metallica note, they contacted me about 5 years ago to create iPod skins for the same 30GB iPod that was engraved. They sold direct to their fan club if I remember right.

    Cheers,
    Doug

You could say that is hypocritical... true!, but to my defense the ipod was a present with a "ipod enabled" car stereo (my wife got tired of me having 100 of cd's in my car) so i have to use it like it or not, and yes i like it even if Apple stole ideas from creative to make the ipod

I think apple can make good products without a doubt; however, apple has become the snob of electronics in a douchebaggery way, thinking and making "fanboys" think that they make a better product than anybody else and then overpricing the product. Most of people buy Mac cuz they think they are "cool" sadly I can do the same and more with my pc and i can even run Mac OS on Linux if i wanted to.

Without getting into an ugly debate, Windows and OSX both run on either platform these days. Hardware opinion is subjective.

Apple "swiped" the iPod idea from a guy named Kramer (http://www.ipodnn.com/articles/08/09....ipod.creator/) who patented the idea far before Creative existed.
