This is my first raised panel attempt as a prelude to a kitchen remodel. There are a ton of fit and finish problems. First time to use a shaper and raised panel bits and I threw the stain on for my wife's benefit. Don't ask, it's something I have to do for her so she can get a feel of what it will look like even though we will never use the amber shellac as a finish.
The door is 27.5 X 16.5. Framework is 2.5. The lower raised panel is 7" wide and the top is whatever it worked out to be. The door is pleasant to look at but I know there is some expert expertise on the forum that can take it from pleasant to a show stopper just by changing the porptions. Your help would be appreciated. I need to make a few more doors before I start the the kitchen redo but that is where I would like to keep it-a few more only.
Thanks for your help
Oh the other picture is what she currently has.
