Those are fantastic... The castings are unbelievably good especially the pine cone. Thanks for posting
Really, really nice pendents. Well done.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.
Superb. Another project "on the list"...
Very impressive work Dave! Nice variety of castings! You have obviously put some thought into what you wanted to make! Really like the pine cones! Cool!

Dave, really a beautiful mix. I especially like the blackwood/brass combination. How large are they, I'd guess around 2" in diameter. Did you turn the outside on the lathe and then drill the smaller hole? I have some centers I've cut from bracelets and thought about trying to use them for pendants to make a nice set.
Thanks, Brian
Brian-
They are a dual- axis turning. So there's three fixings really. I turn the back flat, gripped in a four jaw chuck, and true up at least 1/8" or so of the edge.
Then it's stuck with double face tape to a mandrel thingy that has two holes for fixing in a screw chuck. So then turn the face and make pretty. Then change holes on the screw chuck, drill the hole and make that pretty. Sounds like a lot but really they go fast...
Hope that helps.
