A good read

If you haven't already, read Piano: The making of a Steinway Concert Grand by James Barron.

The author follows the process from purchasing the lumber to the finished product for one piano. You'll get an appreciation of just how much hand work goes into making one of these as opposed to other pianos.

I'm on Chapter 3 - Anti-Manufacturing. I'm off for Columbus day, so after I mow the lawn, I hope to get some reading in while I ride the bike. I found a copy at the library. So far, it's a very good read.

I had to give up reading while riding my bike. I kept either running off the road and into a ditch or running into pedestrians and parked cars. I ran into someone who was on their cell phone once but they didn't seem to mind (or even notice).

If you like that book you are going to LOVE this.
