Pic in Author box

How do you post your pic in the box with your name and location? Put the tags in the signature box?

Go to the "user cp" near the top of the page, then follow on to the "options". Toward the bottom, you'll see where you can "update" your avatar. From here, select a pic you want from your own machine and it will be uploaded. 50x50 pixel max., though.

I've tried it twice and although my program says it's the right size it just doesn't take. I give up. Posting pics stored on my web site doesn't work for me either.)-:
