    Spalted elm HF

    This piece is ~ 12" tall, the collar is walnut. The piece should have been a couple of inches taller but I had a catch when hollowing and broke the vase off near the bottom. At least it happened before I was near the bottom so there was enough wood for a re-design.

    Nice work Dennis! That sure is a good sized hollow form! Beautiful wood - spalting and colors! Great looking finish also! You should be real happy with this one!

    that is some great elm, I hate it when I break a piece, glad you were able to salvage it though.
