    Best week-end Ever!

First off, I'm not a woodworker, but I love my scrollsaw. I just spent the weekend with my 11 year old niece, as she has discovered my scrollsaw. It was a barrage of "how do I do this", "can I do that", "where's the rest of the wood", followed by will you sand this & "where's the paint". She made puzzles from the "Best of Scrollsaw Magazine" & she did an amazing job on the saw & then she drew some of her own projects.
This was just the best week-end, I just love her to pieces anyway, & this was just icing on the cake.

I will have pics, her 6 year old twin sisters helped with the painting, so there's a lot of drying time before we can put them together. lol

Sound as if you and she are having some fun now! lol Be sure to post the pictures so we can join the action and raise the level of the indicator on the "fun scale".

I'm attachment challenged, didn't get the pic in the first message. The snake is a puzzle, she used a marker to add the letters, I thought it was too much of a challenge for her to try cutting them out. The star was a pattern from a book & her name was drawn on some scrap ply. There was also an apple she drew, but the dog ate a piece before we could get to it & the hearts she made necklaces for the three of them. Great time with a little circus atmosphere!!

That's really cool! Sounds like it was a lot of fun! Be sure to pass on to your niece that she does some really nice work!

Nicely done and I bet she will cherish the results as it was a joint venture with her Aunt Linda who took the time to recognize her simple needs at a very tender age.

Well done for your neice.. well done for Aunt Linda who recognizes beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
