    Mike,

You got a great deal. That was a very easy way to get turning on the cheap.

WOW! MAJOR haul! Those accessories are awesome..... Don't think you'll need to buy anything more. For a month or so....

That's a good price for those accessories. Very nice of him to throw the lathe in as a sweetener.

Hi Mike. All I can say at this point is you sure have good luck. Now watch out that your not put in jail for stealing. Like others, does he have more to give away??? I also have the Jet 1642 and do not plan on moving on to another lathe. Roger

    That is UNBELIEVABLE !!!

Amazing haul. Great stroke of good fortune. Enjoy it all ! You are very well equipped already.

I also have a 1642 and love it.

Thanks guys, I thought it was a good deal as advertised, but he kept pulling stuff out of drawers and cabinets but I wasn't going to stop him. I am having fun just trying to figure out some of it. Looking forward to using this equipment. Probably will have several questions as it goes along but for now I am just enjoying getting things organized and playing a little.

What is the weight of the Jet 1642 headstock? Is $500 a decent price for the headstock?

In today's world, that would've been 3600.00 and change.
