Thanks guys, I thought it was a good deal as advertised, but he kept pulling stuff out of drawers and cabinets but I wasn't going to stop him. I am having fun just trying to figure out some of it. Looking forward to using this equipment. Probably will have several questions as it goes along but for now I am just enjoying getting things organized and playing a little.

I have been entertaining the idea of purchasing a lathe. I believe the Jet 1642 will be a good choice with my budget. Been looking around for a used lathe and was curious about what the price range would be for a used lathe. Any ideas or input would be appreciated.

What is the weight of the Jet 1642 headstock? Is $500 a decent price for the headstock?
