    My search is FINALLY over

I have been looking for one of these for quite some time. My search came to an end yesterday morning when I picked up my dream saw.

Paid $350 for it with goose egg, original switch, dust door and the top is in good shape as well. Also the original motor runs smooth.

Congrats. I saw it yesterday on CL and noticed that it was gone now. That's a heck of a deal.

You dog! My $350 Unisaw might have been a touch better cosmetically, but the egg was missing and the $130 for the fiberglass replica puts me closer to a $500 Unisaw. Congrats!

Grr! Just noticed, you have the dust door too! Double congrats

Nice catch. Do yourself proud with a nice restoration.

I won't tell you about the one in an action in KC...

    Well what the heck.

Same saw, no dust door or motor, everything else in very good shape very little rust anywhere, it went for $25.

Bill, everybody is entitled to a MegaGloat once in a while! My $125 PM 26 shaper qualifies!

Looks like Grant needs only paint, bearings and belts to make his Gloat Uni *like new*! WTG Grant!

That looks like a winner for old iron.

How old do you think it is? The style of the logo looks like 1930s. Do they go back that far?

According to OWWM, the serial number date code says it is a 1954 model. Ten years older than me. Does that mean I will need rebuilt at 55 like the saw?

The Uni-saw hit the market in 1937 and was the saw most cabinet saws after that were more or less cloned after until just a few years ago when riving knives starting showing up on manufacturers offerings.

Yep! A re-build is in the picture.
It REALLY hurts when they take the rust off.
