    First Stopper

Here's my first bottle stopper, stainless hardware. Made my own chuck from - surprise - cherry, oak, and a 3/8" bolt. Australian myrtle burl; it's a present for a friend's wife - she likes 'pink wine', so it should match pretty well. Simple poly finish. Small projects one can start and finish in a short amount of time can be rewarding. mike

That's a great looking stopper Mike. I like making them like you say, fast and simple to make. They really sell well here anyway.

Looks pretty good Mike! I know what you mean about turning small items from start to finish in one sitting! You have something to show for your efforts and it didn't consume all of your time!

Nice stopper! I am sure your friend's wife will love it!

Nice stopper! I like making them too. Nothing like quick rewards.
