  4. There was a pretty long piece on the BBC on this guy a month or two ago, right before a big auction.

    Apparently he uses a single-haired brush (if I remember correctly, it's a insect's hair brush that he makes himself) and paints between heartbeats.

    Not my thing, but the fine motor control and sheer discipline involved is totally amazing.

    I was going to give you a hard time over your thread title being so small and hard to click on, but then I saw the link - now I think your thread title may be enormous in comparison.
    How does he paint those sculptures? A single hair?

    With a decent microscope and some micromanipulation equipment, I'll bet I could improve on his product, but it wouldn't have the same cachet as painting with a hair of a fly's leg.

    Obviously the man is an impractical artist. If he were a true hobbyist, he would have begun by making a really small table saw.
