    A new bat for Junior

It's been a while since I posted something here, so I thought I'd show off my son's new baseball bat. I found a really nice bat blank in the discount bin at Lee Valley that was screaming for me to turn it into a bat.

So here it is. My son is already getting great use out of it.

Maple, 26" long with a 2" barrel. The grip is Miniwax Mahogany stain. Two coats of automotive clear coat spray.

Now that is a good looking bat. He looks good with it.

Thanks, guys. I'm not normally a spindle turner. This was definitely a challenge for me. I started from the handle and had to deal with a lot of vibration and bouncing for the rest of the project. I'll know better next time.
    Regards,

    Chris
