Does anyone have a recommendation for some large cherry spindle blanks 4x4x40 preferably in Massachusetts/Connecticut area. I am attempting to make a cannonball bed for my soon to be wife as a wedding present.

Plan to turn the ball portion separately. Decide where you can make a seemless joint and you'll have an easier time with your project. 40" spindles are hard to fit on most lathes and 4x40" spindles are hard to find as well.
