    Crotch Walnut Vase

Some of the best looking walnut I've ever turned. Measures 8 x 8, sealcoat finish.

865 miles southeast of Steve Schlumpf.

Beautiful piece Mike. That sure is some wild grain for Walnut. Is this a branch intersection of some sort? Form sure allows that grain to be fully appreciated too. I love the mouth treatement. Looks a bit like an ebonized insert of sorts. Congrats on another successful HF. She is a real beauty...Bill..

Wow - that is not your typical Walnut! Very pretty stuff - lots going on in it! Great form on this one! Really like your collar variation! Haven't seen that one before! Thanks for sharing!

The pictures are crooked and the reflected lights make it look like an alien's face......

Other than that, it is mighty fine.

I expect nothing less than comments like these from you my friend. I thought it resembled you. And its not the pic, you hold your head crooked.

You got a nice flowing continual curve on this one! Good Job!
Funny for ME to say this, but I might have liked to see the shoulders a little lower (just a little, but that's nit picking).
    Keep 'em coming.
