    Very nice!

    Horst,

I really like your vase. The grain and color of the spalted birch are very interesting. The shape, with it's subtle curve, is both modern and classic at the same time. Well done.

    Wild grain in the wood!

Horst, Spalted birch is one of my favorites to turn also! Looks good with all the wild grain. I might have added a bead or cove somewhere on it and flaired the bottom out a bit and then rounded it to add a shadow line at the base, but I have made them flat and straight also. I say this as sometimes the most simple of embellishment does not change the whole look but makes it look more finished. Some thing to try and thanks for sharing.

Very nice Horst, I like the clean design, I don't think it needs any more embelishment at all!

Beautiful vase Horst! I really like the slight curve to the piece and also the lightly rounded lip! The wood really grabs your attention! Very nice work!
