    No, I sanded the epoxy off with the lathe turned off. Then blow it off and sand with the lathe on.

    Charcoal?? Like briquettes? Artists charcoal?
    Did you just grind it up?
    I really like the way you dealt with the cracks!

    I like the charcoal idea. Sounds better than coffee grounds for a really dark black. The filled cracks add alot to the piece.
