    Band saw Gloat

I'm picking this up tomorrow. $900.00 bucks. I can finally cut veneers up to 12" wide. WOO HOO I'm so excited.

Bill, I can't enlarge the pics - and I am not that familiar with the Jet machines. It appears to be a dedicated resaw??

In any event, that much saw for $900 surely is a gloat!! Congratulations.

Nice score Bill. As usual, can't wait to see product coming off it. Being able to do your own veneers is fantastic.

Gotta pace us a bit though Bill - my head is still spinning from the veneer score you made.

Sweet. I have been looking at 18" bandsaws for veneer resawing. Please post a review after you've used it for a while.

You guys didn't know I have 2 shops. My business has a shop 50ft x 50 ft with not a pole to be found. My home shop is spilling into my business shop. I can't help that I'm a tool-a-holic.

I sure will. It's not the griz I wanted but it'll do for 1/2 the price.

I see many more beautiful boxes in your future, all with exotic veneers that were resawn from gems you picked up here and there. Congratulations!

    Congrats Bill.
For resawing, make sure to get a good carbide tipped blade like the Tri-Master if it doesn't come with one.

Thanks for that info. Did I mention my LOML works nights so sometimes on her nights off I'll stay up late with her and sleep in. When she starts watching the DVR loaded up with ER's I hit the web. Even at 3AM. When she works I'm in the shop. Works out great. I get lots of shop time in due to this schedule.
