    A thank you note

I received this thank you note today.

    Sir,

I received a pen with your troop support message, back in 2004. I spent 31
months in the Middle East and have always keep my pen close. Thank you
sounds so insignificant but I do thank you. Please take care and know you
    are appreciated.

    Yup! They are appreciated.

I talked with my manager yesterday. He was called back to active duty 2 years ago. Just got back to work 2 weeks ago. I asked him if he took the 2 corian pens I made him. He said Yes. He said when he made some "field trips" he left them at the base because he didn't want to take a chance on losing or destroying them. He said one of the other guys in his outfit got a "Freedom Foundation Pen" and it, too, was appreciated.
