Cool FREE software for .BMP Header info.

    Hi All,

    As promised in the
    http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showpost.php?p=1026436

There is a FREE program for displaying the actual header information for a Windows .BMP file. Go to my website www.lasercottage.com and click the Software link.

    If you read posts #18

    If you read posts #20

If you read posts #23 all will become clear.

I hope this helps save messing up picture details when there is no DPI information contained in the file. I will try and add other file headers (if they have them, some do some do not) as time comes available.

    Hi,

Just added Inch display for Width and Height if the DPI is contained in the original picture. If you already have a copy, you will need to download a new one and there are no version numbers being maintained.

I did say it was going to be rough and dirty.

    Hi Steve,

You got me. I meant to ask and got sidetracked. That happens when you are old. I will put an acknowledgment on it if you like. I was pretty impressed with it as you can see.

JPG added to the Header reader

    Hi All,

I have added .JPG to the program.

This displays the actual header information for a Windows .BMP files and also the .JPG format. Go to my website www.lasercottage.com and click the Software link.

If this program shows the DPI of your picture files as zero, then check the following posting on how to set Corel to correctly display the file in true size.

    It's free and...
