    Post Braille Plugin for CorelDraw

    Finally!

By popular request, I have packaged up the Grade 2 Braille plugin for CorelDraw. (See this thread for the preliminary discussion)

Many have been using the plugin successfully since 2007. See the forums for tips for those interested in getting into ADA sign fabrication.

Click here to download it! (USD 79.95)
    LATEST VERSION: 1.7 (released 15-Aug-2019)
Now supports UEB (Unified English Braille)

    Installation

    1. Download the installation file
    2. Run the setup, which will locate your CorelDraw installation and will install the Braille macro to your CorelDraw GMS folder.
    3. Go to the menu Tools > Macros > Run Macro. Choose 'Braille' under the "Macros in" drop down. Run BrailleScript.showBraille.
    4. (Optional) Create a shortcut button to the showBraille macro above.

    Supported Platforms

Currently tested on Corel X8 with Windows 10 (64-bit).
Currently tested on Corel X7 with Windows 7 (64-bit).
Currently tested on Corel X6 with Windows 7.
Currently tested on Corel X4 with Vista.
Currently tested on Corel X4 with Windows 7.
Currently tested on Corel X3 with Windows XP.
Currently tested on Corel 12 with Windows XP (32-bit).

If anyone is interested in the script for other platforms, let me know.

    Technical Support

There is no phone or technical support offered for this product. However, you can post a new thread in this forum detailing your problem, and there is a good chance we can get the issue resolved here in the forums.

    Updates

Any updates I release will be free for 2 months from purchase, using the subscription mechanism under the Donate link at the top of the page. Updates after 2 months will require another purchase. It works great, and I've made a number of improvements since its inception. Hopefully, with your input, I can make it even better.

    Update

    v1.01 on Monday, January 19, 2009

The software has now been tested and verified with Corel 12 on Windows XP. I had to add some compatibility functions due to functionality that was not available on Corel 12, but was available on X4.

    Update version 1.2

An issue with the Braille spacing and dot size has now been resolved.

Download and run the setup.exe file to update to version 1.2. The version number is now displayed in the Braille window for convenience. There is no need to uninstall the old version first, as it will be overwritten.
