    Smile My first attempt at a vase

    This is my first attempt on a vase. I should have made the throat a little smaller. Live and learn I guess. The wood is spalted box elder. The dimensions are 7 1/4" x 4". Maybe my next attempt will be a little better. lol

    A lot better than my first attempt....

    First one blew up on the lathe. Second one looks like a wooden Dixie cup. The third one has a huge hole in the bottom (went a little too deep hollowing it out).

    Keep on working. I'm optimistic about my fourth attempt....
