    First Cabinet Project

Well this is not as good as some of the other projects I have seen here but hey "it's mine".
This is an experimental cabinet for my man cave bathroom in the basement. I will be using this basic design for the kitchen. Maple faces and frames, maple stile and rail with BB ply.
Will be using prefinished maple ply on the kitchen.

It looks great! 90% of what we make, we make because we need the piece. I only wish I had room in my house to build stuff like this...

    Very nice!

    Ed,
If you saw the size of my shop you would be surprised. 10 x 20 with table saw, jointer, planer, drill press and 2 work benches but other various tools.
like 10 lbs of stuff in a 5 lb sack. Not sure on the size of your shop but if things are done in stages anything is possible. One guy on here works in his bathroom . Now that's small.

    It looks good.

Storage for a whole kitchen of stuff is always tough, even with a lot of extra room around.

I have taken to getting the boxes through construction and face frames and moving them to the garage. A kitchen cabinet job will eat every inch of space like PacMan.

Cabinet looks good. The paint on the wall doesn't exactly scream "man cave" though.

Well green is the color of grass which entails football, golf and baseball .
It's better than the white that was there before (well I think it is )

Frankly I always called my old basement shop "the Dungeon" because that's the first place I would be banned (by choice) when I was in trouble. She won't follow me here. Nice Gray walls (concrete) in mine. Next house.... she took it and banned my tools from the house. Now I am self exiled to the garage. ... I like natural maple my self. I say if it works go for it.

Fills the bill. I've found that my wife likes the furniture that I build but loves the simple non-glam storage pieces. I'd say this would fall into the "love" category for most. Keep it up!
