    Did I Miss It???

Today while cleaning up a superglue spill I began to sneeze. Instinctively covered my nose and mouth with the towel I had cleaned the superglue with. After 3 or 4 sneeezes I removed my hand only to discover that the towel had become affixed to my nose. ( I am only reporting this in hopes that a fellow "Creeker" does not suffer the same humiliation I did!). My wife, whom I love dearly, has , over the years, developed an annoying talent for making light of my misfortune, gave me cause to reflect. In the early years, whenever something would happen to me she would say " Poor baby! Let me make it better" (a situation I thoroughly enjoyed). Now days "Poor Baby" has been replaced with "You Idiot" and "Let me make it better" is "You should see a doctor"!! Isn't there supposed to be some sort of transition? Did I miss it?

There are many transitions in a marriage. The important question here is, what kind of doctor is she referring to?

An emergency medicine specialist who can remove the towel from your face, or a psychiatrist who can treat you for what she thinks is your real problem.

Either way, it's great that she noticed that you had a towel stuck to your face.

    Jim,
Both super glue de-bond, acetate, and Vaseline work to free CA glues which is any of the super glues. Hope next time (and there will be one) turns out better.

There is a two day period when the wife morphs into a carbon-copy of the mother-in-law.

If you were in the shop.... you missed it.

Well, you know.....it would be rather difficult for one to take a picture of ones own face with a towel stuck to it. So we'll need to let this one slide by this time.

    Dennis,
Probably the only thing that could have been funnier was when a turned over CA blue bottle got all over a broom handle and both of my hands wound up stuck to that and the trickle also got on my shop stool where part of my anatomy was perched.

The LOML would have the video and have it posted on YouTube within 10 minutes.

Yep, Matt, there's a photo alright. She's just waiting for the perfect time to show it to everyone. The pic will magically appear when least expected! We never miss an opportunity if we can help it!

We need to know if she's smiling where she says that or does she have arched eyebrows and a disgusted look on her face ? ;-)

Remind her that you are in good company with the likes of Tim Allen to emulate. There was a year where I had my frequent shopper card 10 trips punched at our local ER. After your cards full you get free coffee and stitches next visit.

Not if she's like my wife. She has no idea how to operate my camera and doesn't have one that she knows how to use including the one on her cell phone.

Hey, a towel glued to the 'ole sneezer ain't that bad. I know a guy who used lots of super glue on his job. Well, normally he locked it up at breaks and lunch so nobody could steal it. One day while leaving for lunch he realized he had forgot to lock the glue up but had already locked the cabinet so he just put the bottle in his pocket. Went out to the bar and got plastered. When he went to the gentleman's room he realized he couldn't unzip his fly. Spent several hours laying on a gurney in ER (drunk) while a nurse painted super glue remover on his underwear and other personal areas of his person.. You would think he learned a lesson.
