    Corel Conundrum

I have had several times where I wanted to fade the edges of photos using the interactive transparency tool. This is a great effect when the image is power clipped into a circle or a square. However, I have not found an easy way to apply the effect to images power clipped into other geometric shapes, such as an oval. I have played with the radial and square effects, trying to aply them to the other shapes, but never really found a method that gives consistent results.

Has someone found the secret, or have I just missed the boat?

Maybe you could first take the image into PhotoPaint and use the vignette tool then move them to Draw.

    Gregg,

There was an Epilog-Tip on how to fade the edges of any shape using a vinette type function - not sure how or what it was now, I've got it stashed somewhere in PDF - I'll dig for it...
