On the 65 there is no place for a splitter. If you grab an off cut with no splitter and hit the back of the blade with your thumb...
I I use splitters and blade guards... Now.
I'm not a big fan of 14" bandsaws. Though I love my 1950s Delta. And this one doesn't sound like a gloat.
I checked the Grizzly specs. Needs a 60 amp circuit. All I need is a plug and receptacle. Or a disconnect. Thanks for the help.

I got a used Grizzly sander. 15hp 3phase. It calls for. 60 amp breaker. What guage wire should I use from the box to the machine?

It uses 112" blades. Same as the Hitachi. It's back together and I hope to pick up some blades Monday.
It has a big GE motor. Twin belt drive and is super quiet. I can't read the HP rating but it is 220v. I think it is 2-4 hp.
Edit: went to motor shop. It is a revulsion induction motor rated at...
It came with some 1" blades. I think some 1-1.5 blades would be good. Someone put a 1.5 blade in the Jet 18 at the shop and it just couldn't handle it. The Jet can't handle much.
While it is...
It should work better than the 18"jet. We also have two 14" bandsaws in the shop. Thank you for your valuable information about my saw.

Here it is next to a Jet 18 bs. I took the table, motor and base off. It still took two guys to move it. 16 inch cast iron wheels, two belt pulleys. Super smooth bearings. 12" resaw height and cast...
I just picked up a Japanese bandsaw that will take up to a 2" blade. It is quite heavy duty. Any one familiar with them?
The second pics are rotated. Not sure why.

my file uploads are failing :(
I'm back in the woodworking world after a bit of a hiatus the 24 is a whole different machine than my Jet 14" I was seriously considering a new Felder FB 540 but this came up, somewhat locally. Any...
I did furniture full time for a few years, now I am in the same boat. I plan on avoiding $15/BF figured wood and make things I like. I will be trying my luck on craigslist to see if I can move some...
Curt, you are making this up. So you just "listened to a conversation" and these women "had PhD's in things other than Home Ec." Like what Curt? What are these other things. If you have a biased...
I found one piece that looks like an icecicle. Cant be a gunstock and resaw would yield very little. So I will sand, finish, mount it to a board and call it sculpture. Is that cheating?
Greetings.
A couple years ago I bought a load of curly maple from the estate of a gunstock maker. I am now hoarding it. I cant bring myself to cut it. Anything I come up with to make seems like...
