I've always been interested in 'cold' lasers, especially considering what 400-500 mW machines can do... 5 watts doesn't sound like much but it's 10x the power of 1/2 watt machine! :D

When I put shelves up, while I do put the long side down I never put in the bottom screws, just 2 more screws to remove and holes to fix later if/when the shelf goes away.
And 'floating' glass...
It's nice to want to help people-- a fix for this would be to offer to call someone, by YOUR fingers, and put them on speaker. I suppose the number dialed could somehow be used against you, but...
Maybe a victim of a hurricane? Been plenty of those the past year...
I honestly haven't a clue on how to help, but I had a hard time figuring out what I was looking at, so I added some light to the pics, maybe it'll help others help out? :)

Irony: Needing to replace a $400 starter that's failed 3 times since last summer, but not wanting to buy a cheap Chinese $100 starter for fear it'll fail once a year ;)

Yup- sounds like the solenoid isn't pushing the plunger mechanism & pinion into the flywheel for some reason, OR the pinion shear pin/key went, OR the teeth are worn down to nubs...
Sounds like a lot of money to fix a hole that an 88 cent cork would plug ;)

Some good ones here!
I'm not sure if the twist ties were actually put on that chain BEFORE the axle shaft/bolt
went bye-bye or just for the pic, but I have to wonder if that would actually work...
Windows 10? Is the computer online? One bad guess would be Microsoft may be invading your computer and pausing the copying--
Could the pause be to give the drives a chance to cool down? I was...

If I'm understanding correctly, the cable in box in the pic is protected only by the 100 amp main breaker-?
Since you're selling, I would go one step further and remove the existing cable from...
with the exception of the "bad" one at the bottom, I did all these with my 40w Gravograph LS900;
"bad" was the first piece of leather I ever lasered with my 25w Universal/Gravograph 'Optima', my...

Reminds me of Gallagher, who wondered on stage how we learned anything in 'shool- ;)
to paraphrase, best I recollect--
"How does anyone here know how to spell? Everything is spelled...
To be sure, sometimes the 'higher priced spread' is worth it- case in point is all the Gravograph machines I've owned spanning nearly 40 years, whose combined ages total well over 300 years now. In...
Not exactly sure why not tearing the Sheetrock paper is important? And while hammering 16p nails into lumber typically bends them which is conducive to their holding power, sheet rock nails don't...
YES!! EzCad was designed to import DXF files-- Of all the file types you can import to EzCad, DXF is the ONLY type I've EVER used! Other than "sometimes" using EzCad's text function for text,...
when I refer to a 2" lens, I'm speaking to it's focus distance. A 2" lens means prime focus is approx. 2" from the lens itself to the substrate. One way to tell your lens's focus distance is to...
My favorite car radio was the 'magic bar tuning' AM radio my friend had in his '59 Oldsmobile, had a pair of narrow bars on top, left bar scanned for stations left, the right scanned right... The...
try the rice thing, pull the battery cover and battery, if you can take it apart, take it apart, then put it in a bowl and cover cover it with rice for a couple of days, that should get rid of any...
When focusing, the prime focus distance should always be right at the material's surface, regardless of thickness. The reason is, an any point OTHER than the 0-focus distance, plus or minus, the...
Check out this webpage, especially the pics & video of the Astro-Skeleton clock, most fascinating piece of machinery I've ever seen :D

I'm thinking he may have figured that out, as no 2nd post yet ;)
