Is the Trotec SM a CO2 Galvo? Anybody got experience with one?
Hi Chase, is #7 to help view the table for observation purposes or position work in Ruby & on material?
Power supply hopefully, if not laser source. Is the source still under warranty?
That’s not good to hear, how old is your laser
Good Ruby article in (free) Graphics Pro magazine - on line and hard copy.
Thanks John. I’ll dig around. The 3D is doing my head in : ). I’ll have to break down and go to the training or maybe even read the manual. Smile.
Thanks John. I’ll set out some of each and monitor. Stronger solvent smell on the light color one so I’ll try spray some.
A friend gave me a mixed bottle and a concentrated bottle but I can’t tell which is which. I’m guessing the mixed one is the left. Can anybody tell by color or by another method

Does anyone have a Tykma fiber galvo. I’d love to chat with you, particularly about Minilase Pro 3D - rebadged Ezcad 3D.
I find if you get a great result from the laser it’s the glass. That setting won’t work on another brand just for spite.
Is lenmark a rebranded Ezcad 3D variant might you know? I’ve got a rebranded version I need to wrap my head around. Perhaps we can collaborate. Ahh - I see youre in SA, Im up the road from you.
Ross - I hate using the laser to do glass so much so that I got a sand etch system and we all know the quality but cost of that process. Ive never gotten a result I loved with the laser but you have...
I need to spend some time getting familiar with it as JCX going away would kill me. Are there any video tutorials available on it you’d recommend Mike?
There are other softwares but they cost the same as some Chinese lasers, samlight & prolase being two but ezcad is a very simple but effective operating system. Handling your artwork improperly...
Dark woods, mahogany, teak etc will engrave well, light & open grain like oak won’t or will just burn irregularly.
Santiago Laverde, a long time shopbotter made a full size one for a client. Look him up.
You can print a pdf in JC.
Definitely agree with John on all those points. You just can’t rely on the laser. I do however love Rayzist laser mask and then sand etch. Flawless results.

I’d put money on your laser being misaligned. Bring the head to X39 YO, make sure red dot is in the center of opening. Recheck at X0 Y0, then the other corners. If it’s not centered, adjust at the...
yes you can purchase them from BJCZJ or whatever it’s called : ). Look up ezcad it will have a link to the company.
If you got it from China, there is a step up 220 inside and that powers it. There is also a straight 110 off that but If you didnt change anything than my suggestion won’t help.
Did you fix it yet? Is there any chance you changed how it’s powered, moved to another socket or ??? It should be powered off the 220 side of the 110/220 trans. Could that have changed?
If you have the laser and haven’t paid for it, particularly not what you ordered, I would order from a reputable company, post the name of these idiots so others can avoid them and tell them they...
165 ips I believe and led lights too : )
