Bert, I tried doing that. I even tried going much more than that. It doesn't seem to do much difference. Maybe the wood is just not dense enough to burn good.

Bert, I think David is right in that regard. The clean (un-engraved) materials can easily wipe off after engraving, but it's the engraved letters/numbers that are getting contaminated.

that could happen. but what happens is when i ask the laser to engrave the last file, it make the exact same error again, so it has to do something with the data thats being engraved....
