Your end grain to face grain joint isn't a very strong joint. The dowel will help, but to prevent rotation should the glue joint fail, add a small finish nail driven through the side into your...
I used the KV 8450FMP slides and really like the soft close feature. They are 100# rated. My wife's pantry has a bunch of them in it and they see pretty heavy use.

I don't see why you can't mount the motor the way you want. It should still work just fine as log as the pulleys are aligned properly. You would still need a way to adjust belt tension.
I've been using Bosch blades on my Bosch multi-tool. They seem to last longer than the cheaper brands. Their carbide tipped blades hold up really well.
If you didn't read the back you didn't know how many box tops you needed to save for the special toy you could get. Like the gray plastic submarines that ran on baking powder. The would dive, sit...
When you look at the file size in windows file explorer it shows file size in KB. I know that 1,000 KB is 1 Mb. I don't know the upper limit of the site software for photo conversion, but the...

It is best to actually upload your photos to SMC. That way they will always be there. Sometimes due total number of files and allotted file space your photos get taken down by you or when a sharing...

It won't hurt anything to take a look or even put the appropriate wrench on them to check tightness.
The problem with home inspections is they only look at the surface. Generally speaking they don't look any deeper than what you can see by opening a door or walking around a room. The house my...
Years ago, I had a date with a young lady near Pensacola Florida. We went to her house for dinner before going to a movie. Her Dad asked me "do you want a coke?" I said yes, then he said, we have...
Tom is correct. I used to struggle with my mortising attachment for my drill press until I polished the out side surfaces so they are slick. I also learned that the drill bit should be about 1/16"...
I was reading the other thread regard the name used for carbonated beverages and decided to make the poll that Ole suggested
We currently have at least 3-4 inches of wet snow. It is supposed to stop tomorrow morning (Monday). By Wednesday it is supposed to get into the 60's. Don't worry, by Wednesday afternoon, yours...
Clean the screw and the hole to eliminate any oil and then apply the blue loctite to the first 10-12 threads to go into the hole all the way around the screw. Let it set 24 hours before you use the...
You didn't say or show what the screw was going into. If it is plastic, then loctite isn't going to work. In fact loctite doesn't play well with many plastics.
I would suggest that you go to...
I did watch the video and he was making that cut free hand. He had his left hand much too close to the blade. That cut would have been much safer and more accurately done using a miter gauge or a...
It shouldn't be too time consuming to make one from a bolt with the appropriate thread size using a hand grinder or a file.
It was mounted in a cathedral ceiling...no attic. It was still glowing orange until she turned off the power.
The slots for the plywood and the locking rabbit joints were all cut with a Freud 60 tooth LU-82M blade, which gives a flat bottom groove. The 1/8" plywood from Woodcraft fits perfectly in the slots...

My daughter called me a while ago and told me that one of her Halo LT56 5 inch light in her recessed fixtures in the ceiling failed with flame and smoke. Here is a picture of the failed light....
