Turn off the auto focus, do that slope test and find the sweet spot. Then make a setting jig or whatever it takes so you can set it using the Jig you made distance to your material, not the table.
...
Kev you need to write a book!
IF Glowforge would spend as much time on quality control and product improvement as they do erasing bad reviews and posting false good ones they might make it work.
Funny I was thinking just the other day.... what was the name of that company and product we used to see talked about on here all the time?
Wonder how the new users of the Glowforge are doing...
To simplify, Parts A & B only cover 80%. you can purchase Medigap Coverage and different plans cover more or less I have Plan F which covers everything. I think Plan G is very close to the same. ...
Yes I was holding off commenting, a 3 phase motor for a RPC can be rope started in place of a single phase pony motor. Once the 3 phase motor is started and running on single phase it generates the...
Well I got lost trying to read that long , long paragraph above, so you purchased from the guy you ranted about in the other Thread?
I wanted to reach out and try to protect other users from Art...
Ditto to what Gary said. I was going to suggest looking at a place online where I have purchased precut tags before. They make standard sizes and if color if you want. For a large enough order I am...
Lee it does not switch every layer, normally you print in just two colors. The one that David posted is a lot more money because it has to be large enough for two extruder heads. But instead of...
David that is interesting, thanks for posting.
Will Lightburn work for you??
I have rarely used the plug in, just exported in one of the graphics file formats that my machine will take.
It costs nothing extra to call or email LightObject to get the correct one. Tell them what you have and the PS part number to get the correct one, looking like is not the same.
I would Love to have that Jet lathe, I looked high and low to find a good used one but ended up with a Grizzly 9x20. Shars is a good source, and I pay more for what I buy at Little Machine Shop buts...
I have a small metal shear but cutting spring steel will screw up the edge.
Why would you want to re-invent the wheel? You can purchase saw blades in nearly any size imagined, or cut off ones...
The HV end of your tube is 20,000 volts, I am hoping you did not try to check that!! LightObject dot com is where I get All my laser stuff, I trust them to always carry good products.
I have some UV clear casting resin ordered, and they do have colors in a separate kit so you could experiment. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GFS2SFZ?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1
I'd check for loose connections and some have had cables fail because of the flexing of the same and of course the power supply failure?
Wondering if UV cured clear plastic resin would work? Amazon has a few to chose from and you will need a UV light not UV LED flashlight.
Had a Makergear Mk2 like a fool I sold, new ones are close to $3000. Went with the Prusa factory build as I just wanted something to use not put together and troubleshoot.
So how does it do, issues?
The 208 ones do, people get confused 208-230 3 phase etc, all a big mystery. In any event using the ground as neutral is not allowed nor safe.
Never tap one leg to ground off 3 phase, only use a neutral wire.
Did you get the new one MMU2? I have been thinking about buying one.
