Thanks Phil!
My original intent was to put drawer slides under the boxes so that they could pull out toward which ever side of the table you are sitting on so it is easier to put a drink on it or put up your...
Thanks Brian. My wife found something similar on Etsy and then I made some changes such as the steel base and sizing the boxes to the wood that I had on hand.
Thanks David!
Thank you James! Each box can be removed with 4 screws (which I think I am going to replace with threaded inserts and bolts), but I was able to carry it in my house with my neighbor's help (we were...
Thanks William! I am sure there will be some items dropped down in there from time to time, but between each box and the base, it is open and whatever is dropped in can always be pushed back out...
Thanks Christopher! The walnut boxes are solid wood, about 3/4" thick. The faces of each box that you can't see are plywood which I painted black.
That is awesome! What did you change the aluminum extrusion of the fence to? Is it some 80/20 or something like that?
I haven't used them yet, but I plan to try some of the levelers out from EZ Level. They look super easy to install and use.
Thanks Jim!
They are 4 individual boxes that are only attached to the base by "feet" that hold them . The gaps in between the boxes go all the way to the base with nothing in between. The inside face of each...
Thanks John! Arm-R-Seal satin was the finish of choice. I used 3 coats and sanded with 800 grit and steel wool in between the coats respectively.
Thanks Jim! Next up is either going to be a dining room table, or a very large entertainment center area with fireplace. Haven't decided which yet, but hopefully neither of them take me nearly as...
Thank you Ken!
I started this coffee table almost 3 years ago and then we moved about 1000 miles away and I had no shop area to work in. Then we had a baby and bought a new house. Finally I got my shop back and...
I would be interested in the info on the filter you used as well. Could you send that to me also? Thanks!
Bob you actually gave me an idea here. I could attach some short strings on the outside of the filter cartridge here so I could see if there is little or no flow going through a portion of the...
Thanks for the insight Jeff. I am going to give it a shot!
Thanks for the thought Jeff. I am trying to keep the cost down as low as possible also. More individual filters would require more fittings and piping solutions as well as what I assume would be...
:D My thinking exactly. I think I will try it.
As the person below posted, when I would be cleaning the filter I'd be removing it to clean it anyways so I'm not terribly concerned with that. The only thing I have thought of that could be an...
I am considering converting my single stage dust collector to a 2 stage but I am trying to conserve as much space as possible. One thought I had was to use a filter that is open at both ends and...
You might be able to use a hacksaw blade and cut through it at an angle in a few places as far as possible without getting into the roller then take a cold chisel and break it apart. Just an idea of...
Matthias Wandel has a program that he wrote called BigPrint. It works pretty well. It allows you to import a picture, choose a place on the picture and enter the dimension, then it will scale the...
You could do 2 pins at the back on each side that both ride in the track. When the drawer is fully extended there could be a Y in the track for the back pin that is at an angle to the original track...
