I had a Voyager on order or should I say backorder for a long time. I saw Nova had a deal on a Viking drill head (no post or base) and I was able to adapt (needed to add a sleeve to the post) this to...
I bought a California Air compressor because of the low sound ratings. I added an auto-drain and it works great but it makes terribly loud noise when it fires.
Years ago I took on the challenge to build an entrance door. Luckily I found a professional door builder on this forum who mentored me. I'm forever thankful to "Joe Grout" - ha, if that is his real...
I have a low hour PM drill press motor. Guy threw it in on a deal many years ago when I bought a DC from him to close the sale. Never found a use fof the motor.
My zip is 60462. The shaft is rusty...
I did change all the plugs. - thanks
Wow - thanks for all the great help.
I bought some gas treatment for cleaning the injectors (Lucas). After seeing some of the replies one thing that I forgot to mention was I suspected possible...
Luckily after troubleshooting I could probably change out the 4 coils in 30 minutes or less on this car. Set of 4 decent coils is $200 or $50 for cheaper ones. I have misfire counts for cylinders 3 &...
My wife drives a 2016 Nissan Rogue. It has very few miles on it - 4,400. All the sudden she took it out the other day and she said it was shaking. When I took it for a ride it was misfiring badly and...
Go to a BigBox store and buy another set and return the defective ones.
Yeah - if I get the 20' I will also need to pay $100+ for their delivery. I was just looking at the pergola kits at HD and their long beams have three half lap joints. If I do two at the ends like...
I'm going to build a pergola and need some 20' 2x8's. Menards apparently does not stock these in the store but offers free shipping to the store. Another alternative would be to get 12' long boards...
Do you have any experience with the OneWay carbide inserts?
I put my McNaughten set up for sale here. I did so because I didn't use them enough to get experienced and justify having them...
Brian - don't know if this helps but I have an old 1250 DEVS dual mode sander (looks like Festool Rotex) and on aggressive mode it does not turn freely but in non-aggressive mode it can be turned...
This reminds me when I took on the challenge of an entrance door. Wow 13 years ago - time flies!

Think I found the issue. If I use twist drills I can easily open the chuck by hand but on a big Forstner bit no way. Probably a function of the self-tightening feature.
Thanks for the replies. I should have mentioned I was using a brand new Fisch wave bit. It seemed to just burnish the hole. Maybe a router or paddle bit would work better.
My son wants to make candle holders out of hardwood logs by drilling about a 2-1/2” hole in the end with a Forstner bit.
The wood is ash and my 1hp drill press is stalling on the cut. I’m running...
I just put an Albrecht keyless on my drill press. It is self tightening so I tried to just tighten it lightly but I needed couple wrenches to remove a 2-1/8” Forstner bit. It does have close to zero...
It was a long rough road for this "fun" project. I ordered the drill head at the end of February. Had to have it replaced because I discovered a couple cracks around one on the set screw mounting...
Yeah but then I can’t use the reverse feature on the DP.
I know this thread is months old but I purchased a nice Albrecht keyless chuck for my Nova DP and first reaction is a little disappointment. Not with the DP or chuck but the combination of the two. I...

Thanks for the replies. I found out there is an Andersen dealer close by. I went there and they were very helpful. They said they don't leave much of a gap and the 1/4" is for siding to frame so when...
I plan to trim the outside of my new windows with brick mold. I watched several videos and they all show applying it flush to the window frame and this is how my old 40 year old windows are. I just...
