I'm such a fan of three leg chair designs! Great work on that one!
I agree with Mark, especially given the grain orientation. That doesn't work well for a leaf situation...there is increased risk ot stability issues...and for only one foot, it's not worth the time,...
I completely forgot to post on this thread...this past week was...awesome...and, of course, busy. :D

Yup...we closed on our "downsize" property on Friday. So now I own two houses and am...
If the output will be clear coated and there will be multiple pieces that will appear together, logically, one would want the veneer grain to be consistent on the parts. If the output will be...
Many of these units come pre-charged...the lines just need to be cleared out with the vacuum. If I'm not mistaken, some "Mr Cool" systems don't even need that. But for anyone wanting to self-install,...
That's exactly what I did here in my current shop, Mike...the miter saw is upstairs where the lumber lives. I forget if I took you up there or not when you were here awhile back.
I will admit that I really like cast iron for the "feel" and vibration dampening. The disadvantage is that you can't "roll your own" and you have to use accessories, such as lifts, fences, etc., that...
I also use my miter saw for rough cutting lumber to length when it's over about 6' long...but that's about it.
There are a lot of tools right now, including a good chunk of Festool's line, that are in short supply and have long lead times. Being locked to a particular retailer because of the gift cards means...
Skillz................wow. Nice!
Congrats! You'll enjoy having that thang keeping you comfortable year round for pennies.
Michael, I probably read them once. It's rare I revisit a book, fiction or nonfiction, honestly. 'Glad your package arrived!!
Most of my trunks have double locking casters. For those that are "travelers" I use larger casters so they are more amenable to rolling in less than ideal conditions. The road-case type handles I use...
The aluminum version was a good idea for a number of reasons, especially for a 10' ceiling. The wood one here in our current house is somewhat heavy compared to the aluminum one in the garage of our...
HEPA filter on the unit...and then vent back. You will not lose whatever residual heat you have that way. If you vent outside, there's no point to a filter at all and you have to make up that air,...
Joe, that's exactly while I'll opt for the SC-3C when I make my move. I'm used to having those "things" with the larger saw and despite the SC-2C being adequate size wise for my needs going forward,...
I have built a number of tack trunks for travel/show use out of the dozens in total produced. Folks do not and will not use the plastic ones for serious show travel...this is a sport where...
Aaron, you should consider venting back into the shop via a non-direct path from your closet. The same area calculation is needed...at least the same area as the cyclone outlet, but preferably a...
I can only imagine, Erik.
I don't remember any of the machines actually running during that show I helped out in the MiniMax booth a number of years ago...I think some were hooked up, but I don't...
That's a great step to have completed...things can move along now pretty quickly I would think!
Yea, it's not a horrible practice, Erik, when plugs are available. Otherwise, there "should" be a hard disconnect but a good jolt can certainly jump those "sometimes".
If I actually remember, I'll try to take a close up shot.
John, yes, the buttercups are not good for many kinds of livestock, including horses. Same with other things that "just grow", so folks who have livestock need to take care in that respect.
Have a conversation with Sam...he can be very helpful in understanding this, particularly as it relates to "what's stocked" here in the US, assuming you're in the US. You can order anything you want,...
