I don't remember exactly, Lee. I uninstalled it as soon as I found it. It was some type of video editor - probably a simple one that could be used for TikTok videos.
I do a small amount of video...
It's your shop and your body, but that uncovered belt and pully would scare me. It's so easy to get a piece of clothing caught in something like that.

Update: I bought a copy of Duplicate Photo Cleaner. Works well but the license is only good for a year.
Then I found EaseUS DupFiles Cleaner (apparently, it's a new program). It has an option...
I just recently purchased a new Windows 11 computer. No real problems there, I got everything copied over.
Then I received a notice from the Microsoft Store that it had installed a program on my...
Try this one.

Here's a bit more on invasive earthworms.

The engineers know the general duty cycle of a compressor so I expect they specify a motor that will satisfy that duty cycle. That could be a problem if you have to replace one. Normally, the motor...
It's worthwhile to point out that this problem is common to both-single phase and three-phase motors. Three-phase motors start up a bit easier than single-phase motors but the difference in the heat...
The reason there's a recommendation on the number of starts of a motor is that there's a high starting current through the motor. This generates heat which can be dissipated by the motor fan after...
I agree with Derek. If you had three phase coming into your shop, go three phase motors. But if you have to convert, go single phase.

Wow looks great. That's a lot of work to do those floating tops. Congratulations on developing that technique.

I tried the Spyderco ceramic stones but really didn't like them. They're sitting in a cabinet somewhere. Maybe I should pull them out and try them again.
I use a WorkSharp and then finish with...
Ah, I did find those CBN wheels for the WorkSharp - $50/each. I'll probably keep using the diamond ones I have for a while. Maybe when they wear out I'll spring for the CBN.

Thanks, Tom. I tried that one but because of the large number of photos I have, it gave me an error of running out of memory. And I have 32GB of main memory on my machine.

Would a wooden coffin plane satisfy the smoother requirement?

Thanks, Marc. I need a program which will compare actual images, not just look for duplicate files. I may have edited an image (maybe brightened it up) but it's the same image. I want to find all...
I think I remember that someone mentioned a program that found duplicate photos on your computer. I have a lot of photos on my computer and need to eliminate some to gain back some disk space.

The Fray brace just has a split nose with a screw to pull the two sides together. It's not like a more modern brace with a chuck.
Mike
I didn't know that. Thanks!
I'll go look for one.

This would be my recommendation as well - probably a lot less expensive than converting the tool. Running a 50Hz tool on 60Hz should not be a problem. If it's an induction motor, it will run...
I rarely use my CBN wheel on a chisel or plane blade - I have a WorkSharp and use that most of the time to re-establish a primary bevel or to correct a damaged edge. But when I do use the CBN, I do...
This is one of those situations that lend itself to testing, rather than opinion. My suggestions:
1. Spread glue on only one surface, clamp it to another board, then take the glue joint apart...
I've had my dust collector in a closet for about 10 years and I don't know if I ever cleaned it. I just checked it and there's a very light amount of dust on the other tools in the closet. Hardly...
My experience is the same. I have a couple of DMT diamond plates that I got about 2007 and they're still good. I didn't have any way to judge them, so last year, I bought another coarse/extra...
