Yes some people are using them for TP, but I think it more about hand Hygiene (dry with paper towel and toss it out rather than re-use regular towel) and surface cleaning.
I have heard that you are both right. Flattening the curve will mean healthcare can help more patients survive AND may mean less people are infected from the first wave.
The Scientist also...
I am sorry to hear that you are losing a friend. What a wonderful gift to be able to build his casket for him.
My buddy asked me to build his casket. As far as he knows he is a long way off from...
As for testing the cruise ship with over 4000 souls on board was given 43 test kits. 21 people tested positive.
The numbers in the US will skyrocket, if and when test kits become available in...
depends on the size, most big band saws don't to do well with narrow blades. Sure you can make it work though.
BIG bandsaws do one thing really well and not much else. If you want a resaw beast and make straight cuts in big wood, go for it. BUT you most likely need to keep you 14" saw if you like to cut...
Yes and through this they are hoping to control the ancillary damage. Funny thing is they may be right in theory (though not in practice).
So far the biggest damage the virus has done has been to...
Easy experiment. Take the bag off and you will see what no restriction will be. If it is better, than more filter area will help.
I have made a changes recently that are dramatic enough that no...
I clicked thinking this was a thread about the way we typical do thing in woodworking and if we should challenge some of them.
That would be an interesting thread.
I know it is pretty much blasphemy, but I am actually pretty much good for tools.
I have the quality/size/quantity of all the tools I need right now. I would rather be buying more wood.
6" is better IF you can get the FPM high enough to keep the dust moving. With 1.5HP it think you are pushing it. Going too little means you don't get max CFM, go to big means you have a system that...
Sounds like Grizzly is trying to work with you on a solution for your 20 years old saw. They have always been helpful when I deal with them, so happy to hear this is in action again.
Funny thing is poor governance lead to the start of this, but I think the Chinese governments ability to mount a mass coordinated response and the Chinese people willingness to conform to direction...
You will have zero problems other then the obvious hassle of moving the hose. A true 3hp collector has plenty of grunt to overcome 15' of flex. As said before the limitation will be the ports.
Lots of interesting replies. I am not pulling the trigger right now, but I am sure it will make its way home when the time is right
It is good hardwood, that would not take any more presswork than working rough lumber. You can use it anyway that you would used hardwood of similar dimensions. Enjoy.
I find it hard to get excited about a drill press, but the Nova presses are just beyond cool. I would love to get one, but no way can I justify it.
I have a very solid, Delta Floor Press that I...
Window, hands down. Natural light is great to have and that view you have would be wonderful. Make sure you can open it wide as that would be great to have as on option when you are sanding or just...
What a great idea! Thanks for that advice.
I almost forgot, I designed this outfeed table and sold the plans to Wood magazine back 2007. It jacks up to store over your table saw and turn you table saw into a worktable. I got rid of my version...
A pure outfeed table does not need to be all that fancy. It does not need to be all that flat even as it is just for catching wood. You get into the super flat design as people like to use them as...
Good point Malcom. I ran the numbers and appears to be no issue when the ducting is in place. As I have 5" outlet on the cyclone, I think it is safe to safe the the airflow restriction is just moved...
Thanks Lee, for the clarification. No affiliation or financial position, just a guy shopping for air filters.
So for those who asked I ended up buying from...
I sent you the details of the filter by PM as I am not sure if you can post commercial referrals.
All my ducting is 5" HVAC fittings and pipe. Most if is scrounged from a used building supplier...
