When I bought a used Helix, I sent the seller a logo image he would not otherwise have, and had him engrave it on the rotary jig and send a photo. He actually sent me a video of it. You...
I was tired of reaching all over to turn all the devices on or off, so I simply centralized the switches & outlets.
You could try one with the human outline, and the pattern Mel Gibson did in Lethal Weapon. :)

Have a nice day. :)
Is perhaps your manual focus tool out of adjustment (maybe dropped on the floor once)?
If you have a 2" focal lens, see if your lens-to-material distance is 2.0".
Yes, talk to tech support! :)
You said your interlocks check out. Does that include the front dropdown panel interlocks?
I've got a couple half logs of Bradford Pear that size. Local tree trimmer says they were planted prolifically by landscapers in the 70s and are now growing too big to support themselves, so branches...

I'm going to add the old Frank Corker post to this thread, so it will show up in a future search for "Gold Method"!
Well, things are looking pretty positive then. This is the original script...

Great solution, Chad!
They actually measure about 3.875" square. Thanks guys, these are what I was looking for!
Has anyone made/found a frame for a 4" laser tile? Got pics? Am looking for ideas before I make a template and dig out the router...
I like that ripples pic. I'd love to try that in marquetry, vs engraving.
There's another "local" to Atlanta symposium in the fall - Google "Turning Southern Style". And it was announced this past weekend that in 2016, the national AAW symposium will come to Atlanta!
I downloaded the 30 day X7 trial on a non-laser related computer - will install it and look it over this weekend.
A great pen, and also the best pencil mechanism I've run across, is the Liberty kits from lazerlinez . com. (He also makes a matching pen kit) But it exceeds your $10 limit... :( American made SS....
Amazing haul, Donny! Any chance of bringing some of that to the Southern States symposium in Cartersville the first week in April?
Unless you have an actual picture of the pet that you could work with, keep graphics very generic (like paw prints vs a specific breed image). As David said, you can google "paws clipart" or some...
Make sure the pen material is a very tight grain, so your small image stays uniform in depth (think hard maple vs an open grain oak or ash). You could also max out your resolution, up to 1200dpi if...
Are you weighing or using a moisture meter before final turning? I got some freshly cut cherry in Nov 2012 and it took a lot more than a "few months" before it stopped losing weight - almost a year....
