Yeah I also saw that article. Still regret not picking up an Inca Automatic Jointer Planer 343.190 when I had the chance.

Anyone see this in the wild or used it. Would love it if anywhere near the quality of the Dewalt 735.
We recently bought both cushions and covers from https://www.cushionsxpress.com/ and have been very happy. Contact them and discuss. You can also request material samples as well.
I am in the final stages of finishing a bow arm that I started several years ago, after doing all the hard work it got set aside!
Anyway some thoughts:
1) The Paolini FWW article is very good...
I have been very happy with plans from Taunton. In building my chairs I incorporated details from Kevin Rodel’s Prairie Settle, plans for this are also available from Taunton. Fine Woodworking has...
No mine has a shorter re-saw. Previously I thought the 2005 versions had the same re-saw as previous ones but a slightly larger motor. But maybe they were odd by having a slightly larger re-saw...
I have been looking at the Grex 18 ga. cordless but then found this Amazon review so have sitting on a decision...

I bought mine in 2005 and uses a 149” blade.
Last year Popular Woodworking published a two part article (#232 & 233). This was a very well done article. In researching the original chairs it appears that most had front braces. I wondering if...
Dave - So I am moving ahead with a Windward style chair. I am making sketches and joint details. Just wonder if the dimensions associated with the main members as shown in your Sketchup drawings are...
I did notice that but I found the plans as part of the Moser collection in the SketchUp warehouse. Not really build plans but a starting point. If someone has more complete plans, I would love a copy.
Great, I’m planning one or two chairs as well - will keep you posted when I move forward, please do likewise :)
Dave
i know this was an old posting but I was wondering if you ever built the chair and how it turned out. Experience, comments, improvements and changes? Thx
I just had a similar issue. The Freud straight bit lost a chunk of carbide at the end. On examination and comparison to a similar Whiteside, the Whiteside clearly has better support behind the...
However, never do a new project that doesn’t require at least one new tool, bits don’t count.
I’ve used the stuff to swell the tenon with success. A friend swears by urethane glue. He drills a small hole, injects some water, lets the water soak in, injects the glue. Seems to have worked. I...
OK guys, reporting back on what I found:
This is Scott's response:
"Thanks for the email. Yes, the Whitesude bits were designed by me and are authentic Maloof bits. In fact, Sam himself used...
I see, clever. You end up with a jig tuned for a specific collar and bit...I can’t forget to mark that on the jig! Thx
Charley - I have made several fixed jigs similar to this for specific applications. I’m not sure how the one you linked to works, I.e. if the ears of the angle are used to set the width to the shelf...
I agree about the Brock plans and DVD (haven’t seen Morrison’s). The Brock Stool project is a great start without undertaking a bigger project.
Ron
in looking at Morrison’s website it says he has now adopted his new Butterfly joint which s sexy and doesn’t require special bits. Not seeing the details I assume it is a sculpted version of...
Thx Ron, I will check that out and probably do as you suggest. What is interesting in that in all the online videos that I have found, none use the 5 degree bits.
Jim - exactly - being curious I went and looked at JessEm's site and it looks like they now only sell the controller with their router. The controller sold by Rockler clearly states as you say "no...
I am beginning the process of a Maloof style chair, probably will start with a stool to work out the bugs. Anyway in looking around I have a question about the "Maloof Joint."
In looking around it...
Hey Jim and Rod
Maybe a separate thread (I admit I haven't yet searched) on "going metric" your experience - I seem to be in the "in between" world due to tooling and jigs that are non-metric and...
