also, make sure you use RGB in your corel pallet. and the black is 100% for engraving. Use of CMYK gives you really weird outcomes with ULS.
if the material doesn't hold fine engravings well I'd just do a hairline outline of the engraving to sharpen it up.
at the least double the AMP for any motor for inrush current. What's the size of the wire are you running from the circuit board to the socket? if it's just to the limit the rule of thumb is not to...
don't forget to get a new flashback arrestor for your acetylene bottle.
yeah. that's the one I'm looking at. I want to get some feedback from those who actually using something like the one shown. They all perfect on youtube, but real life might be very different from...
500w, I'm mainly looking for cutting sheet metal
Hi engravers,
Does anybody has any experience with Chinese fiber laser? Is it worth to buy one(even though cheaper than branded it is still a lot of money)? I'm looking at a full size 500w machine....
I'm having the same problem with my 4.60. It's very intermittent, I can't get the pattern when it's happening. Although in past 2 years I have never experience this issue. Could this be the software?
spray some water on them and put them on the flat surface with some good weight on top. Let it dry completely. I do this all the time with bamboo ply.
My bet is for chemical etching. YAG or fiber doesn't make any sense for mass production.
envelop tool
I have had the same problem with my ULS, the problem was faulty USB port.
my 4.60 doesn't do that.
How big is the shape? if it is relatively small, lets say 1cm, you can not avoid it as the motor can't stop that quickly.
They don't sell big4 lasers. Some Chinese stuff that I've never heard about.
PS: to each their own.
We've done a lot of research and this forum definitely helped us to decide on the laser. The price also had come into account. So considering price, reliability and support availability we've decided...
what state you're in?
I can say for NSW.
Trotec won't come to you if something happens. The staff know nothing about lasers. That fact turned us of the trotec, they are also much more...
it will depend on the sort of the plywood. They might have different glue in it and different layers. You also didn't specify what's your laser wattage.
search for youtube videos such as this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wggJmyS6Zns&feature=related
Corel + merge printing
I've found that some coated materials have banding effect, sometimes it helps to lower the power for about 20-30%. It might be just uneven coating.
Cutting the thing out and trying to re-stick to another sheet will cost a half of my life.
I'll try translucent vinyl.
Thanks everyone.
G'day everyone,
One of my customer wants a quite complicated picture to convert into the light box. The special requirement is that the engraving should have golden back-light. I thought of using...
It actually looks like an impact marking. Not a laser.
