Not to be rude, but he has a different saw, there wasn't the supports in the way.
Here is an attempt at a picture 380360
Howdy!! I just picked up a router plate and am going to install it in the wing of my PCS Sawstop. Looking at the layout of the wing, the only way it will fit between the supports in the melamine part...
Hi Peter, I am in the process of setting up my new HF Dust collector and am going to follow your setup, any chance you could provide a few more pictures? I'm especially interested in what the outside...
Beautiful work!!! I really like the router setup you have there, thinking I'd like to do something similar, would you mind sharing more pictures of your shop?
Thanks Hovey, I am 99% sure I am going to do just what you mentioned. I was thinking of using BLO, but would I need to urethane or something after that? For hardness so to speak.
Unless I am not understanding Leg vices (good chance) I thought the top had to line up with the legs? If I added 3/4" to the 1/4" gap my table will the be proud of the legs by 1/2"
Here is a picture to show what I did. I am leaning towards letting the back side be the flush side and adding 3/4" maple to the small side and using it with a front vise.
Hey guys, I am in the process of building my first real workbench and have run into a few snags that I am hoping you can help me with. When I planned the build I designed the legs to be flush with...
Thanks for the advice guys, I guess new it is. I had never even thought of the negatives on buying a used tool (that I don't know how to use) in addition to the possible needed service to the tool,...
I picked mine up last Saturday for $32.92, thanks to a heads up from the forums. The new Irwin dado sets were with the other saw blades, while the clearance items were set off to the side. Don't go...
I emailed the seller asking and he didn't know, nor was there any markings other than a stamped #4 on the front. I could always buy myself a new plane, but like everyone else I like Deals, just don't...
I am new to hand tools and woodworking in general. I have come across this hand plane in a CL ad and would like to know what you think of the asking price of $20 as well as any other information you...
Wow, thanks for all the responses! I just had one more question, I found a guy on CL who had maple logs that have been sitting around for a year that he is willing to mill up at 8/4 for me, if I...
I actually forgot to even say the thickness in my original post, which was 3" So to reiterate I am looking at a top that is 72x27x3 Witch I believe to be 45 BF. At this time I am strongly considering...
Whoops. I see one mistake, The top would only require half that much, so actually it would be $236.25 new bench total after adjustment $373.13 + tax =$403.91 plus vices/glue/dogs ect. So Im guessing...
I have been looking at trying to build a basic woodworkers woodbench, and have pretty much decided to base it on Chris Schwarz's $175 bench plans. I have a pretty good idea of what I want so I...
Paul, I went to BFP warehouse, nice place and even nicer people, but they are expensive, actually about a dollar more a b/f than Advantage on the qtr. sawn oak I need. If you are ever in need of any...
HI Paul,
I too reside in Buffalo (Hamburg) and have been trying to find a new hardwood dealer. I got the chance to meet Dave from Buffalo Forest Products today and he seamed nice and I am planning...
Any finished pictures?
Thank you for the input, I am going to go to Phil's sight now and look for the 6" top hat deal.
Ok here is my dilema...
I want to hook up the 2hp HF dust collector to a main trunk line of 6" pipe. I would like to either add a Thein seperator, or add a baffle to the machine itself. Every...
So I am a subscriber to their online service and have tried to do the search feature, and have some moderate success, and I stress moderate. I am starting to wonder if I am missing something, or if...
I think the biggest problem I am having with the dovetails is the rounded top, I cant seem to get the two pieces to meet the stop the same every time due to the.... (... of the round over. It is the...
